SaaS : Streamlining Sports Academy Management

BRUSSELS — In March 2025, I embarked on the development of a comprehensive SaaS platform designed to revolutionize administrative workflows for sports academies. The project aimed to replace time-consuming manual processes with a centralized, secure, and user-friendly digital environment. By digitizing core tasks such as player registrations, selection tests, accident reports, medical certificates, and liability waivers, the platform enables academies to save valuable time while maintaining a high level of organization and compliance.
The solution was first deployed for RWDM Brussels, the official academy of the historic football club, where it became an integral part of daily operations. Tailored to the needs of both staff and management, the platform offers a fully responsive interface optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. Administrators benefit from interactive dashboards, real-time notifications via WebSocket, multilingual capabilities (French, Dutch, and English), and granular role-based access control for enhanced security.
One of the standout features is the integration with Pro Soccer Data, allowing academy owners to access detailed billing information, player statistics, and hierarchical team structures with filtering, PDF generation, and Excel export capabilities. A built-in content management system lets staff customize forms, schedules, images, and communication templates without technical intervention. To ensure operational resilience, the platform includes data archiving tools, secure authentication with reCAPTCHA, session tokenization, and hashed passwords in compliance with GDPR standards.
Developed using React, Tailwind CSS, Node.js, and MariaDB, the system follows Agile methodology with a Kanban workflow. The deployment on Hostinger with HTTPS encryption ensures both reliability and security. Every page of the platform includes an integrated help guide and AI-powered voice-over tutorials adapted to each user role, making onboarding smooth and efficient.
